Enabling Bavenhill to Deliver a Flexible Solar & Storage System for Leadenporch Farm
Immersa partnered with Bavenhill to support the design, modelling and supply of a solar and battery storage system for Leadenporch Farm. The goal was to help Bavenhill deliver a solution that reduced the farm’s daytime energy costs, maximised on-site use of clean generation, and supported the site’s variable load profile.

Challenge
Leadenporch Farm required an energy system that could adapt to fluctuating operational demand, with high daytime consumption driven by machinery, refrigeration and farm infrastructure. Bavenhill were already engaged as the main installer and required technical support to design a system that could meet these conditions while remaining cost-effective for the client. The challenge was to ensure the system was appropriately sized, operationally flexible and simple for Bavenhill to install without complication or delay.
Approach
- Modelling daily and seasonal load patterns to size the system accurately
- Designing the integrated solar + storage architecture to maximise on-site consumption
- Supplying all major system components, including the battery solution
- Providing installation guidance and commissioning support
- Ensuring the system operated as intended from day one
